Layered Grey provides senior IT leadership to mid-sized and PE-backed businesses that need real expertise without adding it full-time. We work with companies navigating growth, acquisition, or operational change at a pace that outstrips their existing IT capacity. The work ranges from setting technology direction for a scaling business, to preparing infrastructure for a transaction, to owning the identity, platform, and infrastructure challenges that are harder to navigate without having been through them before. The approach is built on more than twenty years of building and running IT functions from the inside: accountable to a board, operating on a real budget, managing the gap between what the technology required and what the organisation was ready to invest in. That is why the conversation tends to start with the business problem rather than the solution, and why the decisions hold up commercially, not just technically.
